Matthew 5:16 KJV
[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The O’Leary Gospel hall is actively sharing the teachings and messages of the Gospel in the local community, with the aim of spreading the word of Jesus Christ and providing assistance to those in need.
The Willows Community Care Residence (Formerly “The Lady Slipper Villa”)
13 Royal Avenue, O’Leary, PE, C0B 1V0
The work began in the early 1990’s, mostly through the initiative of the late Lewis MacKenzie. At first meetings were every 2nd Sunday afternoon, as another group was also having a service. A few years in, that group wasn’t able to continue and we were asked to go every Sunday. Shortly after that, the meetings moved from mid-afternoon to just after the villa’s suppertime to align better with the evening meeting at the Gospel Hall.
Our early meetings consisted of singing, a message, then a few hymns to close, much like how it is still carried out. These have continued ever since, with the exception of 12-15 months during Covid when restrictions were in place. This has had a large impact on numbers but they are slowing increasing again.
Thankfully over the years, the Gospel seed has been sown and there has been blessing in salvation.
In the spring of 2024 the Villa closed down, it’s residents, and new ones, moved into a newly built facility not far from their current location. With there blessings our Gospel meeting have been able to continue at the new location at the same time every Sunday. This new facility has been name “The Willows Community Care Residence”
Margaret Stewart Ellis Home
14 MacKinnon Dr, O’Leary, PE C0B 1V0
The Outreach at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Care Home began in the summer of 2023, an endeavor that had occupied our thoughts and hearts.
Services take place twice monthly, following safety protocols. The service usually consists of a variety of Gospel Hall Members who sometimes play piano, guitar and harmonicas, along with the singing on Gospels Hymns, and brought all together with a reading from the Holy Bible and a short message.
The Goal is for us to be faithful servants of the Lord and to help bring His Word and His Blessing to the residents.

Philippines Zoom Gospel
Zoom (Contact for link)
A few years back, in the height of the COVID pandemic, a brother from Singapore, Kurien Kurian, started doing informal bible studies on Facebook Messenger with a family in Philippines, with a sister in Canada translating for him.
Eventually the platform was changed to Zoom, and other brethren joined to help out. The main reason for this outreach is for the families of Christians in Canada, and the UK, who are living in Philippines, to be able to hear consistent and suitable gospel messages in their own language. There have been many who have joined the call to listen over the last three years, and we look to the Lord to bless this work to the eternal blessing of souls, in His own marvelous way.
